The only thing missing is a human explaining each lick, but the teacher isnt really needed. Its an easy way to learn TAB and if you put the lick on repeat and listen to it 10 x or so before you attempt it, its that much easier. For .99 cents you cant go wrong.
Just picked up this App today and I am having so much fun !! Licks are cool and the loop play feature is great !!! This app has several other great features !! Super fun !!! Easy to use !
Could be a great app.....................but, when using 1/4 and 1/2 speed playback feature there is simply no audio. I checked it out well......no audio. Also when using 1/4 and 1/2 speed playback app becomes glitchy. I have done the trouble shooting thing and tested app on Ipad with 4.3 ,Ipod touch 3 w/5.o and Iphone4............all same result.. Another little quirk..........when using Ipad version app will occasionally go into forced shut down on start up. Total bummer for such a well layed out app. No updates available.
All 10 licks are good and useful. The first solo is boring and the second solo is more funk than blues. But the rest of the solos are excellent. The video is good as are the lesson notes, scrolling notation, backing tracks and printable tabs. You get a lot for your $0.99. Im having a great time with this app. If you are a blues fan, I think you would really like this one. I would give it 5 stars, but like the other review mentioned, there is no sound when you scroll at 1/2 or 1/4 speed.
